Christine Christian, Chief Executive Officer - D&B Australia and New Zealand, is recognised as a leading authority on credit reporting, risk and debt management and business intelligence.
Christine was appointed CEO of Dun & Bradstreet Australia and New Zealand (D&B) in 2001 after leading the management buy-out of these operations from the D&B global company. In this role she has more than doubled the market value of D&B.
Ms Christian is also a non-executive director on a number of related and non related companies.
In 2007 Christine managed the competitive sale process of D&B Australasia from AMP Capital to Lazard Carnegie Wylie. The acquisition was conditional on Christine continuing as CEO and the company is on track to achieve the agreed five year financial objectives.
During her 20 year career in this rapidly growing industry, Christine has gained extensive experience in the financial services and trade credit sectors. She has worked with all of the major banks and many of Australasia’s largest commercial entities, to develop standards and processes for credit risk assessment and new customer acquisition.
Prior to her appointment as CEO she was the Managing Director of D&B Australia & New Zealand, reaching the position through a diverse range of roles which encompassed all aspects of the financial, consumer and commercial credit business. During her career, Christine has worked with credit professionals in Asia, the USA and New Zealand.
Christine was the founding Chairman of the Business Information Industry Association – Asia Pacific – Middle East Ltd (BIIA), a globally recognised authority on business information. She is currently a Director of Datacom Financial Services Pty Ltd, Placard Pty Ltd, Business Information Industry Association – Hong Kong, Decision Intellect Pty Ltd, D&B Consumer Credit Pty Ltd and D&B Australasia Pty Ltd.
Christine is also a coach and advisor to management teams making the transition to private equity ownership and is a well respected business commentator.
Ms Christian holds a BA from the University of Melbourne and is a member of a number of major Australian and international business associations.
